The KNTM Bugle: More Updates from KNTM Models!

A regal holler from my posh velvet throne to your screens! Just as you thought that KNTM has rolled its final credits, my posts will end as well and LVAM will join the other defunct websites?

Well, YOU'RE WRONG! *evil laugh*

Oh, I love Paola de Bracho's manic laugh. Sooooo devilishly divine, hahahaha! How ironic. Anyway, I'm not leaving my throne even if Hwang Gippeum's already the new Korean top model queen. I'll be staying to keep an eye on their activities outside the Top Model dorm. In fact, I'm planning to make more reviews of their photo shoots, and also some articles about the Korean fashion scene. I'm really fascinated with the fashion displayed on the show. I'll be digging deeper on to the colorful world of Korean fashion industry. Stay tuned for that! ^^

For now, I've seen some good nuggets of updates from our beloved Korean models. Hope you had fun! You can also contribute to my post, just comment and I'll give you credit for that. *wink wink*

Here's Lee Chulwoo modelling for a hair styling website Details.

He's in an article named, "Medium Dandy Perm Cut", by His Style Diary. Permed hair looks better on him. I can see visions of Korean superstar Lee Min Ho as Gu Jun Pyo in Boys over Flowers.

Also, Hwang Gippeum aka Shiseido Goddess aka God Gippeum aka KNTM 5 winner has signed in to one of the most prestigious modelling agencies in Korea, ESteem Models. She's now in the same agency as her KNTM buddies Lee Chulwoo, Jung Donggyu, Bang Taeeun, Kim Jonghoon and her sunbaenim Jang Yoon-ju.

I'm planning to write an article about the different modelling agencies in Korea. But that would be really soon.

Posh greetings from my seat to your houses! ^^ I'm really sorry for the delay of the posts. I know it's a bit delayed, as SFW closed two weeks ago, but still, it's for the blogging, not for being updated or what. (What a lame excuse! lol) Anyway, as promised, here are the boys of KNTM rocking and strutting their stuff for Seoul Fashion Week.

Seems that Chulwoo is pretty in demand for most Korean designers. I noticed that he changed his hair color back to brown. IMO he looked different. I think that he's really serious about being a fashion model, that's why he dyed his hair brown again.

The maknae of the boys, Jung Donggyu also managed to book some shows for SFW. Unfortunately, those are all posted on Instagram (darn it), so I only have the available pics on Tumblr.

No bias here, he only has two photos so let's make the most out of it. Hee hee. Here he is with a girl and fellow model Jaehyuk in an event for Marvle.

Shin Jaehyuk booked a couple of shows, too. The photos are on Instagram, tho. #YouKnowWhatsNext lels. He's pretty much involved in the Marvle thingy with the fellow models. His walk is not that strong, though. He's better as an image model.

Jonghoon also managed to book several shows during SFW. Maybe because he's a pretty established model like Chulwoo and Taeeun (more on him later), who coincidentally, belong to the same agency (ESteem Models) along with Jang Yoonju and also Hwang Gippeum. Oops, I nearly spilled the beans. :D

Choi Jungjin for Byungmunseo. Gosh, he looked younger here. Has he been drinking from the Fountain of Youth?

Jungjin here booked only one, which I think is a major injustice. Why oh why? Anyway, he's starting to warm on me. ^^

Han Seungsoo seems to be pretty in demand as well, though I have no idea about his agency or what. He's really determined to carve his niche in the industry, and all his efforts are now paying off. Chukhamnida in advance, Seungsoo-ya! :D

Kim Wonjoong dead ringer and another ESteem baby Bang Taeeun (known as Taeeun in the fashion industry), booked several shows for SFW. This shows that he's really far from where he had started. Hearing his struggles as a budding model during episode 4, I'm really proud of his achievements now. ^^

To cap this post off, here is Jung Yongsoo (aka Jung Yongsoo communications, as per Jang Yoonju) werqin' the runway with his blank face and blessed proportions. Maybe the blank face suited the runway modelling because the designers wanted the people to focus on the design of their creations rather than the faces of their models. Well, Yongsoo-ya is really handsome, a beautiful man, with great proportions and a great walk is a dream come true for most of the designers. ^^ Aww, and one more thing. Drum roll, please..

Our dear Yongsoo-ya just made it into the magazine spreads of Vogue Girl and GQ Korea! YEY! The most recent is in GQ Korea, but it's on his Instagram, so you can view it here. Here's his spread in Vogue Girl Korea:

KNTM 5 Models in Seoul Fashion Week 2015: The Girls

Holler! This post is just to update us fierce fashion angels of what the KNTM 5 models did in Seoul Fashion Week last week in Dongdaemun Design Plaza, or DDP. Yes, it's amazing to see them working their butts off, strutting their stuff on the runway for various Korean designers.

Just a bit of a background info, Seoul Fashion Week (more like SFW), is a bi-annual fashion event in Korea. One in March and the other in October. It is hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government and developed by Seoul Design Foundation. The goal of the organizers is to make the event popular and relevant to the fashion industry in general, just like the famous New York, Milan, London and Paris Fashion Weeks.

Korea is one of the most innovative fashion centers in Asia-Pacific, after Tokyo and Manila. I quite agree that this is really needed, because of the Hallyu wave sweeping the world's largest continent as of now. People are raving and talking about the quirky, carefree yet uber-stylish Korean fashion sense, and personally, it encouraged people to cross the boundaries and be fashionably chic even in the daily grind.

So much for the history lesson, and let's get the main meat started. I searched far and wide for the photos of our beloved Top Model contestants, especially this Cycle's models, strutting their stuff in Seoul Fashion Week.

Let's start with the girls, since they're the primary reason why we have Fashion Weeks like this. Hahaha kidding. Some of the girls posted their photos on Instagram, which gave me such a headache because I cannot freaking post them here. Ah, the agony. :( Anyway, I got some photos on Tumblr (credits to the owners!), and I'll be sharing these to you. These came either from lookbooks or from the actual runway action. Some are backstage pics, though.

Hwang Gippeum aka Shiseido Goddess for Beetle Beetle's 2015 lookbook. Fierceness in florals. According to my extensive research (read: stalking), she was an experienced model prior to the show. She's signed in to Ice Models Milan under the name Joy Hwang (Gippeum means 'joy' in Korean). She also modeled for Claudia Ligari in Milan Fashion Week years ago. I just noticed that there were a lot of pictures taken outside DDP of the models walking for the shows there. Suddenly, DDP became a model paradise for fans and junkies like me. Aww, if only I could go there.. *sigh*

Another outdoor candid shot, this time of Hyun Jieun. DDP became an impromptu runway even before the shows started, because of all the chic and fashionable outfits of the models. Street fashion yet runway-ready.

Jung Sohyun also booked a lot of shows: Mag & Logan, Kiok with Gippeum and Jieun, Leyii, Nohke with dramatic eye makeup, Metro City with some weird red hair, Soulpot, Benjamin Cadette and 2Placebo. Gurl was def working her tush off! She booked a lot more than the remaining models! AHAHA sweet, sweet revenge. Sadly, I cannot upload 'em pics here because of dang Instagram. So I put the links there ^, and ya can check it out.
